High Wind Watch in effect Monday night through Tuesday morning
HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a High Wind
Watch, which is in effect from Monday evening through Tuesday
morning.
* WIND...Southeast wind 60 to 70 mph with possible gusts to 80
mph.
* TIMING...Winds will strengthen overnight Monday before peaking
early Tuesday morning. Winds will then gradually weaken
throughout the day on Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris and may damage
property.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. People are encouraged to closely monitor this
weather situation. Preparation for this potentially dangerous
weather event should begin now.
