Chula Vista Police Department investigating a shooting incident E. Palomar and Monserate Ave. 
On 10/23/2017 at about 0600 hours, Chula Vista Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting victim in the area of E. Palomar and Monserate Avenue. Officers arrived in the area and found a 31 year old male who had been shot twice in the leg. The male was transported to UCSD trauma center for further evaluation. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Traffic in the area is not impacted. Crimes of Violence detectives are currently investigating this incident.
