Grand River Ave will be CLOSED on Sat., October 28 from 3:00-11:00pm for Legend of Sleepy Howell. 
Legend of Sleepy Howell:
The event itself takes place throughout the downtown area from 6:00-10:00pm on Saturday, October 28th. There will be multiple street closures.
Grand River Avenue will CLOSE between National Street and George Street, starting at 3:00pm. All parked vehicles will need to be moved by that time or will be towed. Detour routes for east-west traffic will be Sibley and/or Clinton Streets.
Many streets in the residential area north of downtown will be CLOSED for the 5k and 10k Headless Horseman Runs. Streets will close at 6:30pm for the start of the races at 7:00pm (State, Thompson, Madison, Roosevelt and Lake). If you live or are parked within the perimeter of the race course and need to exit, follow all posted detour signs. Howell Police Officers and volunteers will be on hand to assist runners and motorists if needed.
Plan to arrive downtown early for this event to find the best parking spots. Remember to only park in legal parking lots or spaces. Vehicles parked on private property, or blocking driveways and/or sidewalks may be towed.
