PHPD investigating a hit and run accident on Gregory Ln and Contra Costa Bl. Pedestrian transported to the hospital. 
On the evening of Wednesday 10-25-17, at approximately 1056 PM, PHPD officers responded to the intersection of Gregory Ln at Contra Costa Bl for the report of an elderly male bleeding from the head.
Upon arrival, an 80 year old male victim was found near the southwest corner of the intersection, on the sidewalk adjacent to Bed, Bath and Beyond. He was conscious, but suffering from injuries sustained during an apparent collision with a vehicle. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
An area search for an involved vehicle was unsuccessful, but evidence at the scene suggests an unknown type vehicle struck and injured the victim. The suspect vehicle may have minor to moderate damage to the front passenger corner, to include a damaged headlight/turn signal with missing plastic fragments. At this time, there are no known witnesses or video evidence.
