(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested in connection to two three recent burglaries, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Kenneth James Dillard, 32, of Attalla, was arrested and charged with two counts of third degree burglary, one count of third degree theft of property, one count of second degree theft of property and one count of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, all are felonies,” Lt. Robin Grant said.

Dillard allegedly broke into the fenced area of West Etowah Water Authority two times and M&J Auto Parts once; both businesses are located in Attalla. He stole various power tools, brass water meters, copper wire, and approximately 60 radiators from the two businesses.

He admitted to Lt. Grant that he has a narcotic problem and stole the items to sell for illegal drugs.

Dillard was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $11,500 bond.
