Shooting in the 1600 block of Longview @ 11:25pm last night. No danger to the public. Detectives asking anyone with info to call. 
Last night at 11:25 p.m. an altercation occurred between know acquaintances in the 1600 block of Longview Drive, Algonquin. During the altercation the suspect used a gun to shoot the victim.
The suspect fled the scene and is not believed to be in the area any longer. There is no danger to the public. The victim sustained serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 815-338-2144.
