Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Thursday, 10/26/17. 
Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 10/26/17.
-600 blk Sylvan, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. The disturbance was reported to be a verbal disturbance. No offenses were reported. One of the parties involved left the residence prior to arrival of deputies.
-1900 blk Black Gold Rd, Levelland: Investigation Follow-Up. A deputy spoke with complainants regarding a previously reported incident. New information was collected for the investigation.
-200 blk Dugan, Anton: Dog Bite. A deputy was dispatched to the area regarding a dog bite call. A male subject went to an area hospital for treatment for a minor injury. The dog was not located at that time.
-900 blk Robin Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was notified of a loose goat in the area. The owner was located and the goat was secured.
-500 blk Evening Tower, Levelland: Theft. A deputy was notified of a possible theft from the area. Multiple attempts were made to contact the complainant. Deputies will continue to follow up until the complainant is contacted.
-600 blk Sylvan, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a residence regarding a verbal disturbance. Parties were separated and no offenses were reported.
-US 62/82 at Rabbit Rd, Ropesville: Abandoned Vehicle. A deputy, while on patrol in the area, stopped to check on a vehicle along the roadway. The vehicle had been previously tagged by a trooper.
-Evening Tower Rd at West Houston, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate loose cattle in the area. The area was checked and no loose livestock were located.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
Jail population as of 10/27/17 at 0800 hours: 46 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 13 out of county.
