Stabbing/ Breaking and Entering
On October 30, 2017 at 3:16 P.M., officers from the Norton Shores Police Department were dispatched to the 2oo block of Aue, on a report of a stabbing that just occurred. Officers located a female victim with a non-life threatening chest wound.
The victim claims that she exited her bathroom to encounter a male in her kitchen. The suspect grabbed a knife from the counter and stabbed the woman and then fled on foot. The suspect was described as a male, medium build, wearing a mask, black zip up hoodie, and jeans.
Officers immediately set up a perimeter of the area and are using a K9 to search the area. Ross Park Elementary has been placed on a lock down with officers assisting parents at the scene and providing building security.
Police dispatch is assisting by calling residents in the area to remain inside their locked homes until further notice. Further information will be released as it is available.
