"Right in Our Backyard" Addiction Awareness Presentation to be held on November 1st at Lindenwold High School Auditorium
On November 1st from 7pm to 9pm Jewish Family & Children Services in conjunction with Lindenwold Municipal Alliance will be hosting "Right in Our Backyard" Addiction Awareness Presentation. This presentation addresses the drug addiction epidemic plaguing our communities. Did you know that 13% of 8th graders and 40% of 12th graders in NJ say they can easily get prescription pain killers? Also, did you know that nearly half of young people who inject heroin reported abusing prescription opiates before moving on to heroin?
The majority of Camden's heroin is sold mostly to suburban clients who come from the city's neighboring communities. BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION Come hear and dialogue with a panel consisting of an addiction specialist, parent advocates, member of law enforcement, and an individual in recovery. We will shine a light on the prevalence of addiction issues, share warning signs, and offer safe and accessible ways to seek guidance and help.
Presentation to be held Wedneday, November 1st from 7pm to 9pm in the auditorium of Lindenwold High School located at 801 Egg Harbor Road, LIndenwold. RSVP to Captain Michael McCarthy at [email protected]
