Burglary suspect caught in the act. Arrest warrants served.
On November 1, 2017, Giles County Sheriff’s Department responded to an alarm call at 1324 Buford Station Road. Upon arrival Deputy Randy Boaz noticed a window open on the residence and the audible alarm was active. Deputy Boaz noticed a GMC Envoy leaving the premises through a field at a high rate of speed. Deputy Boaz gave chase and stopped the vehicle on Buford Station Road. Giles County Criminal Investigators assisted and processed the scene and determined that the house had in fact been burglarized. Bobby Joe Bolton was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Giles County Jail and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Driving Under Influence. Mr. Bolton posted a bail bond of $4,500 and was released.

In an unrelated case, while on the side of the road at the traffic stop officers noticed a vehicle pass by driven by 26-year-old Katie Eileen Davison. Chief Deputy Tommy Chapman stopped the vehicle as the Sheriff’s Office held warrants on Ms. Davison for Aggravated Burglary and Theft over $10,000. Ms. Davison was transported to the Giles County Jail where she posted a bail bond of $10,000 and was released.
