The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a 

* Flash Flood Warning for... Vigo County in west central Indiana... Fountain County in west central Indiana... Southern Tippecanoe County in west central Indiana... Northern Clay County in west central Indiana... Parke County in west central Indiana... Central Warren County in west central Indiana... Vermillion County in west central Indiana... Montgomery County in west central Indiana... Putnam County in west central Indiana... 

* Until 745 PM EST 

* At 450 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lafayette, Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, Greencastle, Brazil, Clinton, Covington, Rockville, Veedersburg, Williamsport, Newport, Attica, West Terre Haute, Shadeland, Dayton, Fairview Park, Prairieton, Prairie Creek, Cayuga and Seelyville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 161 and 170. Interstate 70 between mile markers 1 and 35. Interstate 74 between mile markers 1 and 46.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CLAY ... FOUNTAIN ... MONTGOMERY ... PARKE ... PUTNAM ... TIPPECANOE ... VERMILLION ... VIGO ... WARREN 

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
