PA American Water has issued a boil water advisory for Jefferson Hills and surrounding areas for the next 48 hours. PA American Water is delivering water buffalos to the area and will locate one in the parking lot of the Jefferson Hills Municipal Center, 925 Old Clairton Rd. The precautionary boil water advisory was issued due to a serious main break in Jefferson Hills late last week causing the water system to experience a loss in positive water pressure. A loss of positive water pressure could allow contamination to enter the distribution system.
