Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 11/6/17.

-500 blk Tim, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy met with a complainant regarding suspicious activity in the area involving possible illegal activity. The caller requested a close patrol of the area.

-4200 blk Kite Rd, Ropesville: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence in the area. The disturbance was reported to be verbal only, and no offenses were reported.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Child Custody Issue. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a report of interference with child custody. Based on the information provided a case report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

-200 blk Edwards, Anton: 911 Hang-Up. A deputy was dispatched to a residence related to a 911 hang up call. The residence was checked and it was determined to be a child playing with the phone. No offenses were observed or reported.

-3300 blk FM 300, Sundown: Warrant Service. A deputy served a felony arrest warrant on a subject at a residence in the area. The individual was located and taken into custody without incident. The subject was transported to the jail and released to detention staff.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of Tuesday, 11/7/17 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 7 out of county.
