Palos Verdes Southbound Right Turn Lane Addition at Pacific Coast Highway
Project Description: Palos Verdes Southbound Right Turn Lane at Pacific Coast Highway Project will introduce a new right turn lane within the public right-of-way. The project scope includes: remove and re-construct of existing asphalt concrete (AC) pavement; construct new lane with AC pavement, base and sub-base; remove and reconstruct curb & gutter, dual curb ramps on the northwest corner of the intersection per approved Plans, Caltrans Standard and Specification; remove and re-construct concrete sidewalk, cross gutter and driveway. Other works include: install traffic signal modification, traffic signs and striping, relocation of existing Caltrans pull box, pedestrian push button, traffic signal pull box, metal hand rails and all other work required per Plans and Specifications.
Project Schedule: Construction of this project started on October 30, 2017. The project shall be completed by December 31, 2017.
Expected Traffic Condition:
- Palos Verdes Southbound right lane will be closed to traffic for reconstruction and widening purposes.
- Palos Verdes Southbound left turn lane and one shared thorough/right turn lane will be open at all times.
- Both Westbound lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway will be kept open for the traffic at all times.
- One of the Westbound lanes may be shut down for short duration during concrete pouring for the driveway and cross gutter.
