Burglary/Theft Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Boaz man was arrested and charged in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Jeremy Wayne Turner, 37, of Boaz, was charged with one count of third degree burglary, a felony, and one count of fourth degree theft of property, a misdemeanor” Lt. Robin Grant said.
Turner broke into and stole costume jewelry from a residence on Rockledge Road, Boaz. The jewelry was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
Altoona Police Chief Eric Doran was in the area and knew the property was supposed to be unoccupied. He stopped at the house when he noticed the front door was open. Chief Doran then discovered Turner attempting to exit through the back door with the jewelry.
Turner is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
