Bryan Police Investigate Fatality Accident
On November 10, 2017 at approximately 6:45 am, Bryan Police Officers responded to a vehicle accident in the 2700 block of West State Highway 21. A red 2002 Ford pickup was stopped in the driveway of a truck stop, waiting to enter traffic on HWY 21. A black Chevrolet pickup was travelling west on HWY 21. The Chevrolet left the roadway and struck the driver’s side of the Ford. Impact caused the Ford to roll over, and come to a rest on its top. The Chevrolet came to a rest on its side. Two male occupants of the Ford were found deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the Chevrolet received minor injuries.
At this time officers and investigators from Traffic Safety, Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations are working to determine the cause of the accident and make notifications to family of the deceased.
To aid in the investigation, and keep the scene safe, the Bryan Police Department is asking motorist to avoid the area. Currently, all eastbound traffic lanes on HWY 21 are open. Westbound traffic lanes on HWY 21 are closed from Sandy Point Road to FM 2818. Westbound vehicles are being diverted unto Sandy Point Road.
