Burglary & Credit Card Fraud - Encinitas

Investigators with the North Coastal Sheriff's Station want your help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with a burglary and credit card fraud case in Encinitas.

It happened on October 26th between 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. at the LA Fitness located in the 200 block of S. El Camino Real in Encinitas. That's where the suspect stole a backpack from a locked locker inside the gym. He then used a key inside the backpack to unlock the victim's car in the parking lot. The suspect proceeded to steal a wallet from inside the car.

The suspect then used several of the victim's credit cards to make more than $1,000 in purchases from several businesses in the La Jolla and Midway areas of the City of San Diego.

Take a good look at the photos attached to this bulletin. The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, standing 6'1" tall and weighing 185 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a white baseball cap, light blue polo style shirt, grey jeans, black Nike tennis shoes and a light brown jacket.

The suspect was seen getting out of a newer model, 4-door, white Infinity (seen in photo) during one of the stolen credit card purchases.
