The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northeast Arkansas
Missouri Bootheel
Western and Middle Tennessee
* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 1235 PM
until 700 PM CST.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are intensifying over eastern Arkansas, and
will track eastward across the watch area this afternoon and early
evening. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, although the
strongest storms may produce hail or an isolated tornado.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 145
statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles northwest of
Nashville TN to 60 miles southeast of Jackson TN. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
