Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 11/20/17.

-6900 blk Elephant Rd, Smyer: Welfare Check. A deputy responded to a request for a welfare check at a residence in the area. Contact was made with the individual, who requested EMS. EMS responded and transported one individual to an area hospital.

-Barton Ln at Cactus Dr, Levelland: Funeral Escort. Deputies assisted with a funeral escort to Lamb County.

-400 blk Avenue G, Levelland: Warrant Service. Deputies contacted an individual related to an open felony warrant. The individual was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail.

-Hwy 1490 at McHam, Levelland: Traffic Complaint. A deputy met with individuals riding an ATV on the roadway. The rules were explained to the individuals about vehicles on the highway.

-Hwy 114 at Kelly Rd, Levelland: 911 Hang-Up call. A deputy responded to the area regarding a 911 call of an individual trying to exit a moving vehicle. The caller advised the vehicle was westbound. The area was checked all the way tot eh Cochran County line, and the vehicle was not located.

-FM 41 at Hwy 385, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a reckless driver. The vehicle was located but no violations were observed.

-1200 blk 5th St, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to assist with a reported disturbance in the area. An individual reportedly involved in the incident was located in a vehicle. The individual was later arrested by PD officers and booked into the Hockley County Jail.

-800 blk Quail Rd, Smyer: Welfare Check. A deputy was dispatched to the area to check the welfare of a female subject who had reportedly been seen in the ditch. The individual was located at a residence in the area and no offenses were observed or reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout the county, investigative follow up, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 11/21/17 at 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 6 out of county.
