Please join us in congratulating Officer Jason Baker on his promotion to the rank of Sergeant. With the approval today of the Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety, the promotion will become effective November 26, 2017. Sergeant Baker will lead the midnight shift. Sergeant Baker has served this community since 1999, first as a 911 dispatcher and as a police officer since 2002. Sergeant Baker will fill a vacancy created by former Sergeant Cliff Thomas who will shift assignments to become a detective within the agency. Sergeant Baker currently resides in the Bluffton area with his family.
