Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Tuesday, 11/21/17.
Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 11/21/17.
-900 blk Grant St, Smyer: Loose Livestock. Deputies responded to a report of a loose pig in the area. Multiple attempts were made to locate an owner. A local resident housed the pig until an owner is located. Anyone in the area missing one should contact the Sheriff’s Office to arrange return. Deputies will follow up.
-Avenue S at 13th St, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies were dispatched to a possible vehicle crash in the area. It was determined the driver intentionally collided his vehicle with a fence, and then fled the scene. The individual was apprehended by Levelland PD in the area and book into the jail for multiple warrants. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
-Hwy 114 at Hwy 385, Levelland: Warrant Arrest. A deputy observed an individual in the area known to have a warrant. A traffic contact was made, the warrant was confirmed, and the individual was transported to the jail without incident.
**Warrant Arrests**
Deputies searched for, and located, multiple individuals with active felony and misdemeanor warrants yesterday. All individuals were apprehended without incident and transported to the jail to be booked on the charges.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
Jail population as of 11/22/17 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 10 to be processed, 6 out of county.
