Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 11/23/17.

-Kelly Rd at West Houston, Levelland: Abandoned Vehicle. A deputy responded to a reported disabled or abandoned vehicle in the area. The owner was located and will make arrangements to move the vehicle.

-3200 blk Quail Rd, Smyer: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the area. Subjects were said to be intoxicated at the time. Deputies arrived and both parties reported the disturbance was verbal only. No offenses occurred, and parties were separated.

-FM 303 near Jamaica Rd, Petit: Loose Livestock. Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate loose livestock in the area. The area was checked and none were located.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Service. A deputy was dispatched to the jail to serve a warrant. The individual was booked on the new warrant.

-3600 blk FM 303, Sundown: Theft. A deputy was notified of a possible theft offense. While en route to the call the complainant called and cancelled the deputy.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a reckless driver. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout the county, investigative follow up activities, and traffic enforcement.

Jail population as of 11/24/17 at 0900 hours: 46 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 12 out of county.
