New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad and NHDOT to shut down Main Street at RRX, Rollinsford Town Line for one (1) day on Wednesday November 29 .
The City officials received an announcement from the NHDOT District 6 Office and New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad that they will need to close the rail crossing at Main Street and Rollinsford Town line on Wednesday November 29 to accommodate the replacement of a damaged section of rail line. Northcoast Railroad officials plan to start the work during early morning on Wednesday November 29 and work until completed that day. NDOT will be using electronic message board signs on either ends of the Main Street corridor to alert motorist to use alternative roads including use of Rollins Road, Green Street and Indigo Hill Road during this time. Detour signs around this intersection will be used as well to assist motorist with navigating around this anticipated one (1) day closure.
