(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden woman has been arrested in connection to burglary and theft, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Taylor Marie Sheppard, 24, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of fourth degree theft of property,” investigator Brain Smith said.

Sheppard allegedly broke into a house on Donald Road, Attalla and stole a Dachshund dog, bowie knife, camouflage jacket and a non-narcotic prescription.

She is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.

All of the items taken from the residence, except the non-narcotic prescription, were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
