Good Wednesday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 11/28/17.

-700 blk Moreno, Anton: Warrant Service. Deputies assisted in arresting an individual with warrants out of Lubbock County. The individual was located and found to have two active warrants, and was transported to the jail without incident.

-100 blk Main, Ropesville: Investigation Follow-up. A deputy met with an employee related to new evidence in a previously filed offense report. The information was collected and the matter is under investigation.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a property issue. Civil remedies were advised.

-4th St at Grant, Smyer: Assault. A deputy met with individuals related to an assault report. The incident was reported to have occurred on a previous date. Information was collected and a report was completed.

-3900 blk Foster Rd, Ropesville: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the area related to a stolen vehicle. The information was collected and the vehicle was entered as stolen into the database. The matter is under investigation.

-FM 1490 at Monaco Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to the area regarding possible loose livestock. The area was checked and none were found to be loose.

-400 blk Reed, Whitharral, Theft. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a possible theft offense. An individual reportedly took items from the home. Information was collected for a report and the deputies are following up in the information.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols throughout areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 11/29/17 at 0800 hours: 48 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 12 out of county.
