The Temecula Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred earlier this afternoon at the Walmart, located at 32225 Temecula Parkway.

An altercation between two male adults, which began outside of the Walmart property, continued into the Walmart parking lot. One of the males sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound. He was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, however he succumbed to his injuries.

Responding officers detained a male adult as a person of interest. Detectives from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit, along with Temecula Police Detectives, are investigating. There are no outstanding suspects in this incident and this was not a dispute regarding a parking stall.
