Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department were dispatched to Temescal Canyon High School around 2:30 PM, to assist a School Resource Officer who attempted to break up an altercation. Two non-student, adult males, began a physical altercation with two juvenile students on the school campus. Officers employed the use of chemical agents in an attempt to disperse the crowd. The chemical agents were ineffective and additional officers responded. The juvenile victims sustained minor injuries as a result of the altercation and were treated at the scene. The involved adult males were placed under arrest for felony battery, and are currently in police custody. A third, non-student, adult male, was also arrested for making threatening statements during the altercation. The identities of the male suspects are unavailable for release at this time. The Lake Elsinore Unified School District is aware of the incident and is cooperating with police.
