On 11/30/17, at approximately 4:51 PM, the Chula Vista Police Department received several 911 calls reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by an unknown vehicle in the 600 block of H Street.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered that an adult male had been struck by an unknown vehicle traveling westbound on H Street. The vehicle did not stop at the scene and fled in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained traumatic injuries to his head and extremities. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the collision is under investigation but The Chula Vista Police Department is currently seeking witnesses to the collision and hope someone will come forward who observed the vehicle strike the victim.

The Chula Vista Police Traffic Division will be conducting the investigation and the 600 block of H Street will remain closed for several hours.
