Today through Monday, December 4th, CSX Railroad plans on track replacement through the west side of Elyria. CSX’s plan is to close Lowell Street, Infirmary Road, W. River Road S. and Mussey Avenue (15th Street) for track replacement.
Detour Route for Lowell Street would be to use Huron Street to Gateway and W River.
The main Detour Route for the W River, Infirmary & Mussey would be Oberlin-Elyria Road Murray Ridge to Leo Bullocks to Gateway and/or W River. However, for the weekend the no truck restriction on Garden Street will be lifted and parking restrictions will be in place on Garden Street between Barbara Street and Infirmary Road.
Woodford Avenue crossing will remain open.
