Narrative: Two men were arrested Friday in connection with the shooting death of a Thousand Oaks resident that occurred late Thursday. Investigators tracked down the pair hours after the shooting and recovered evidence related to the crime, including a handgun. Investigators believe the shooting was gang related.
Caden Crowell and Hector Delgado were booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura on one count of murder and one count of street terrorism. The victim of the shooting has been identified as David Smith, 19, of Thousand Oaks.
