Police Department Partners with Senior Center to Give This Christmas
In the spirit of this holiday season the Ripon Police Department and Ripon Senior Center have partnered together this Christmas to provide gifts to families with children in need. The Senior Center recently collected donated gifts from their hosted Bingo night, and have presented those donated items to the police department. The police department will present these gifts to local Ripon families that may be in need help this Christmas season.
Chief Ed Ormonde said, “We know there is need in our community, sometimes we struggle in identifying those that can truly use a little extra help around this time of year. With the help of the Senior Center, we aim to find our community members that can use this help and give them something to help relieve the added burden that comes with the holiday season. The Police Department gives special thanks to the Ripon Senior Center for reaching out to us.”
If you are a Ripon family and in need of extra help this Christmas please contact Chief Ed Ormonde directly by phone at 209-599-0259 or by email at [email protected]. Police Department staff will be delivering items on the evening of December 20.
If anyone would like to help in this cause you may drop off unwrapped donated gifts in the police department lobby.
We hope that each and everyone in our community has a very Merry Christmas!
