Mountain Lion Information
Hello residents of Stallion Springs! Chief of Police Mike Grant here. This evening, a large mountain lion was observed near the intersection of Stallion Springs Drive and Bold Venture Drive, near Woodward West. We do live in wild cat country and mountain lions are an indigenous species to the Tehachapi Mountains. Beautiful to look at, thrilling to encounter, mountain lions are nonetheless wild animals and should be treated with all the deference and respect an animal of this potential deserves. If you do happen to encounter a mountain lion, please give it a very wide berth and respect its position and space. I've included some mountain lion information below. Thanks, and please stay safe!
