Very high fire danger is expected this afternoon across eastern KS
and western and northern MO. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph, with
gusts of 35 to 40 mph, with a very dry air mass moving into the
area, will result in very high fire danger.
Outdoor burning is highly discouraged today. Care should be taken
with open flames and the disposal of cigarette butts
