HMPD Scam Warning
The Hope Mills Police Department has received information that on the evening of Monday, December 4, 2017 a Hope Mills resident answered her door to find a slim, white female with shoulder length hair on her doorstep. The female subject told the resident that she was looking for a person who was supposed to live at that address however, the female could provide little information about the person who was supposed to live at that address. The female went on to say that she was stranded and needed money for gas. The resident refused to give the female any money and the female then left the area in a small white car.
