SKIRBALL FIRE: No Immediate Threat to City of Culver City.
CULVER CITY, December 6, 2017; 3:30pm - Fire in the area of the Skirball Center poses no immediate threat to the City of Culver City. However, the Culver City Fire and Police Departments are on alert and closely monitoring the situation.
Residents are urged to review their emergency preparedness plans and supplies with family members making sure that all members, including pets, are included. If threat were imminent, extra precautions include filling vehicle tanks with fuel and parking cars facing out of the driveway. According to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the current air quality in Culver City is “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” such as those with hear disease, asthma, or other respiratory disease. Please avoid or limit any unnecessary outdoor exposure and physical exertion, such as exercise.
