Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 12/7/17.

-500 blk FM 1490, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. On arrival parties were separated. Deputies met with both involved individuals and the disturbance was reported to be verbal only. No offenses were reported. The incident was handled by separation.

-600 blk Tarver, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance related to child custody issues. Parties were in a verbal argument over children. One of the parties fled the area before deputies arrived. Information was also passed on to Anton Police. No offenses were reported.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a issue over a civil commitment. Civil remedies were advised related to the issue.

-6100 blk Maine Rd, Anton: Emergency Detention. Deputies were dispatched to a residence related to an individual who made threats of self-harm. The individual was located and transported to an area hospital for evaluation. The individual was later transported to Lubbock for further assessment.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 12/8/17 at 0800 hours: 52 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 8 out of county.
