Advisory

Scattered Snow Showers and Snow Squalls This Afternoon May Cause Travel Impacts

As colder air moves into central Indiana this afternoon behind a
cold front, scattered snow showers and squalls will continue to
develop across the area. The focus for the heavier snow showers
and squalls will generally be along and east of Interstate 65.
The squalls will create rapidly changing conditions over short
distances as burst of heavier snow cause drastic reductions in
visibility. Wind gusts up to 30 mph may cause blowing snow as well
within heavier squalls. Snow showers and squalls will end this
evening with additional accumulations up to an inch, especially
over northeast portions of central Indiana.
Motorists traveling into this evening should be alert to rapidly
changing road conditions and reduce their speed when encountering
heavier snow showers and squalls. Even across areas that will see
little additional snow, roads have slick spots from the morning
snow.
