Officers arrest a 26 yr old Dalton Twp resident for breaking into several unlocked vehicles in Norton Shores.

The Norton Shores Police Department has been investigating multiple vehicle break ins over the last two weeks. All vehicles were left unlocked with items left inside. Items reported missing includes lap top computers, flashlights, back packs, tools and loose change.
On Saturday 12/09/2017, officers arrested a suspect who is a 26 yr old Dalton Township resident who was recently released from jail and was on parole. This arrest was made possible due to team work amongst police agencies including: the Michigan State Police, Department of Corrections, and the Norton Shores Police Department.
The arrest occurred after an off duty Norton Shores Police officer spotted the suspect at the Lakes Mall. The off duty officer kept the suspect in view until on duty officers arrived and made the arrest.
The suspect’s identity will not be released until arraignment and further information will be released as it is available. Several items have been recovered and owners have been contacted.
