Good Monday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 12/8/17, through Sunday, 12/10/17.

12/8/17

-6700 blk Tennessee Rd, Anton: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area. The area was checked and no vehicle was located.

-1800 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Alarm. Deputies responded to a possible burglary at a residence in the area. The residence was cleared and the area was checked. It was determined to be a false alarm.

-600 blk Coke St, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area related to a verbal disturbance. After speaking with both parties it was determined to be verbal only and no offenses were reported. Parties were separated.

-FM 1294 at FM 168, Smyer: Transport. A deputy assisted with a transport of an individual to his residence after release from an area hospital.

-Kelly Rd at West Houston, Levelland: Assault. A deputy met with a complainant regarding an assault report. The incident was reported to have happened earlier in the day. Information was collected for a report. The matter is pending.

-100 blk Sunrise Ln, Levelland: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to a vehicle parked along the roadway in the area. The deputy contacted the occupants, and they promptly left the area after being released. No offenses were observed or reported.

12/9/17

-6700 blk FM 41, Ropesville: Burglary. Deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary offense. Complainants reported several items stolen form the residence. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

-800 blk Olympia Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy responded to a reported theft in the area. A trailer was reported stolen and the information has been entered into the statewide and national systems. The matter is under investigation.

-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. After speaking with involved parties it was determined to be verbal only. No offenses were observed or reported and parties were separated.

12/10/17

-500 blk Comer, Sundown: Juvenile Issue. A deputy met with complainants regarding a juvenile issue. A report was completed and information forwarded to investigators. The matter is under investigation. Due to all parties being juveniles no information is available at this time.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 12/11/17 at 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 7 out of county.
