Prolonged, Heavy Lake Effect Snow Around Grand Traverse Bay Area 
• Increasing NNW winds tonight will lead to significant, prolonged lake effect snow bands developing overnight and continuing through late Tuesday, especially near and south of Grand Traverse Bay.
• Heaviest snow amounts, perhaps in excess of 1 foot, will likely impact Manistee and Benzie counties with lesser amounts farther north and east.
• Blustery winds will lead to blowing/drifting snow, poor visibility and hazardous travel, especially within the heaviest snow bands. Plummeting temperatures will lead to frigid wind chills through midweek.
