Weekly Trash Service Returns To Normal Schedule

In mid-September, it became necessary for the City’s trash trucks to support the Hurricane Harvey debris operation, which delayed regular trash and green waste service for two months. The debris operation concluded on Friday, November 10th. Beginning on Saturday, November 11th, the Solid Waste Department began working overtime (working weekends, extending the shift to dusk, and then extending the shift to earlier in the morning) all in an effort to catch up with the trash and green waste that was delayed due to Harvey. Beginning on Monday, Dec. 18th, the City will resume its normal trash schedule. Please remember to separate trash piles and green waste piles and remember the City DOES NOT PICK UP TIRES.
