The Fairfield Police Department is currently investigating a possible hate crime involving a vandalism to a vehicle. The incident was reported on Monday, December 11, at 11:30PM. The victim entered a business in the 1900 Block of West Texas Street and when he returned to his car, he saw graffiti, which included a racial epithet, spray painted on his gold-colored Sport Utility Vehicle. Patrol officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate any suspects at the time. The case was referred to the Investigations Bureau for follow-up investigation.
