We have received calls reporting an AT&T scam. In short, people may have their AT&T number spoofed (people get a call from themselves). If they answer it someone claiming they are AT&T Tech support starts asking for personal information, or the same type of situation asking them to take a quick survey to receive $100. Both are phishing scams and should be ignored. Regardless, AT&T is aware and several other service providers(Sprint, Verizon, ETC) are having the same problem.

Also we would recommend people signing up their number (s) for the do not call registry: https://www.donotcall.gov/

Finally, we would recommend ignoring any calls the caller ID show their own number. If it’s that important they will leave a message.
