Advisory
Expected Snow Storm
The following message is from the Carlstadt Office of Emergency Management
Attention all residents,
Tonight, Friday 16 December 2017, the Borough of Carlstadt is expected to have a snow event. Snowfall amounts are expected to be from 3 to 5 inches. More snow may accumulate depending on the track of the storm. With this in mind, please note the following items:
- First be mindful of the Snow Emergency Routes. These are designated streets with no parking when snow covered. This is important, as it allows for easier travel for emergency vehicles. You may receive a summons and your car could be towed. Affected streets are:
- Garden Street on the East Side
- Jefferson Street on the East Side
- 7th Street on the East Side
- Division Avenue on the North Side
- Summit Avenue on the North Side
- When you clear the snow from your sidewalk or driveway, do not throw the snow back into the street. This is not only illegal, but dangerous to motorists. Sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours of the end of the snow falling.
- Please check on your elderly, handicapped or disabled neighbors. Help them where you can.
