A Special Weather Statement until 3 p.m. Monday for light snow which may result in a slippery morning rush hour today.
An area of light snow will begin at 3 a.m. this morning. Snow will be light with accumulations of a coating measuring from a tenth to over 1 inch of snow.
Temperatures will be well below freezing however, allowing snow to stick immediately to roadways and impacting the morning rush hour and possibly the afternoon rush hour as well.
Motorists traveling today should be prepared for slippery travel and allow extra time to reach their destination. The light snow should come to an end this afternoon but may linger into the afternoon, spotty freezing drizzle will be possible.
