CVPD Conducting Homicide Investigation at 353 Broadway 
On Sunday, December 17, 2017 at about 7:24 am, the Chula Vista Police Department received an anonymous call about the Raza Tattoo shop at 353 Broadway. The caller provided minimal details, and alleged that armed subjects were at the business. Officers responded and made several unsuccessful attempts to contact anyone inside the closed business. Officers could not find any evidence of a crime.
Eventually, officers were contacted by a relative of the business owner. The relative was worried about the owner and believed the owner was inside the business. Officers made entry into the business and discovered a deceased male inside. The death appeared suspicious.
Detectives of the Crimes of Violence Unit, in cooperation with the Chula Vista Police Crime Laboratory and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, responded and are conducting a homicide investigation.
The victim has yet to be identified. The investigation is ongoing. No further details will be released at this time.
