Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that on 12/18/17 at approx. 1117 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on Anderson Rd. near Runkle St. in Milton Township, Cass County Michigan. 39 yr old Niles resident, Michael Abarca, was south bound on Anderson Rd when he, for an unknown reason, ran off the road and struck a tree. Mr. Abarca was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment and evaluation. It is believed that Mr. Abarca was wearing his seatbelt and not under the influence of intoxicants.


This case remains under investigation
