Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 12/18/17.

-2400 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Theft. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a theft of property from a pulling unit near FM 301 and Wildcat Rd. Several items were reported and a report was taken. The matter is under investigation.

-200 blk Avenue U, Levelland: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to meet with a complainant regarding a theft of property from a building. A windmill was reportedly stolen and a report was taken.

-2700 blk Belvedere Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy took a report related to a theft of a welder from a residence in the area. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

-Slaughter at Gulf, Sundown: Welfare Check. A deputy was dispatched to check welfare of an individual at a residence in the area. The residence was checked and no contact was made. Sundown PD was contacted and information was forwarded to them for further follow-up.

-6000 blk Florida Rd, Smyer: Death Investigation. Deputies responded to the area in reference to a death investigation. The scene was worked by deputies and no other information will be released related to the matter. No offenses were observed or reported.

-5700 blk Ohio Rd, Anton: Alarm. Deputies responded to an alarm call at a residence in the area. The residence and property were checked and found to be secure.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 12/19/17 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 7 out of county.
