Synopsis: A citizen requested assistance with a male passed out in a parking lot. The officer contacted the 45 year old male. The male yelled obscenities and became so agitated that he appeared to be a danger to others. The male went into the McDonald’s and pushed his body into two females who were quietly sitting in the restaurant eating. The officer attempted to hold him until other units arrived. The male was able to elude the grasp and headed toward other patrons while taking a fighting stance and rushing others. Due to the concerns he would continue to batter others, a Taser was used to subdue the subject. A friend told police he had mental issues. The subject was brought to Paradise Valley Hospital for evaluation.
