Tis the season and the Upper Macungie Township Police Department has received one report of theft of mail. We at the Police Department would like to make some suggestions to our residents. Please if you are mailing Holiday cards with money or gift cards, we suggest that you mail these cards either from an actual mailbox or go to the post office itself. If you put it in your personal mailbox with the flag up it can bring attention that there may be something of value in the mailbox. We also suggest that you keep an eye out in your neighborhood for suspicious activities. This time of year thieves will not only be looking for mail but also for packages that our outside. If you see any suspicious activities please call our dispatchers at 610-437-5252.
